Night Hayrides
Our tractor drawn hayrides are 45 minutes long
and follow a romantic, winding trail all around the farm. Wagons can
comfortably accommodate 35 people. A bonfire is provided either before
or after your hayride and is perfect for roasting marshmallows and
hotdogs. Beginning at 6:00pm, hayrides are scheduled on the hour until
10:00pm. Night hayrides are $9.00 per person (children under age 2 are
free).
Hayride Information
Hayrides are offered 7 days a week, by reservation
only. Hayrides begin at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 9:00 pm, 10:00
pm, and 11:00 pm and usually last around 45 minutes. Before calling,
ask members of your group for several convenient dates and times.
Call as far in advance as possible. Past experience has taught that
September is a much milder month weather wise, and November is much
rainier. If there are young children in your group, you may want to
come earlier in the evening so the children will feel more secure
and can visit the animals in our petting area while it is still daylight.
It gets dark around 7:30 in Sept. & Oct. / 6:30 in Nov.
$90 minimum charge for groups of 10 people or less, $9.00 per person
for groups of 11 people or more. Children younger than 2 are
free. One person should collect all the money and pay the coordinator
before the ride. Each wagon can hold up to 35 people. We can handle
groups of 100 plus. Cash and checks accepted."
For your convenience, use the checklist below to make sure you don’t
forget anything. Groups should provide their own food, drinks and
entertainment. We provide porta-jons, but remember... there is no
electricity (only camp fire light) or running water.
Hot Dog Sticks or Straightened Clothes Hangers
Mustard, Ketchup, Coleslaw, Chili (should be in a thermos)
Quilts, Jackets, Coats
Card Table (for buffet style hot dog fixin')
Drinks (hot drinks should be in a thermos to stay warm)
Hot Dog Buns
Eating Utensils, Napkins, Handi-Wipes
Potato Chips, Marshmallows
Lantern/Flashlight
Check the weather before coming and dress accordingly. The air around the lakes gets chilly after dark. The sun sets between 7:00- 7:30 pm; keep this in mind when scheduling because there is no electricity or lights. Also, please remember to straighten your clothes hangers before you come. Do not bring or wear valuables. Rings come off in hay fights.
