Employment

Carrigan Farms is a 5th generation family-owned farm, specializing in growing quality fruits and vegetables, educational school tours and field trips, weddings, swim parties, and other special events. Throughout the summer we offer various swimming related activities and our farm-to-table restaurant is a favorite with guests. In the fall, the apple orchard, pumpkin patch and haunted trail are open. While most of our jobs are seasonal, during the season many positions offer up to forty hours per week.

Currently we are looking for hard working people in the following areas.

Lifeguard

  • Work to ensure guest safety in and around the quarry area while working with the larger team to foster a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. Strong swimming skills, physical stamina as well as excellent customer service skills are required. Training is available free of charge for qualified candidates.

Haunted Trail Actor

  • Performing as a character in costume scaring guests. Strong improvisation and ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. Must be able to work all nights the haunted trail is open.

Agriculture / Horticulture Intern

  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of agricultural and/or horticultural projects. Participating in all aspects of crop and plant care, including planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting. Qualifications include: Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field. Strong knowledge of plant and soil science. Experience with farming or gardening techniques. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Culinary Intern

  • Assisting with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking meats. Participating in menu planning and recipe development. Ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized. Assisting with food inventory and ordering supplies. Helping to coordinate special events and catering. Qualifications include: Enrollment in or completion of a culinary arts program or related field. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and flavor profiles. Experience working in a professional kitchen environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Kitchen Porter / Dishwasher

  • Cleaning and sanitizing all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Sweeping, mopping, and organizing the kitchen and storage areas. Removing and properly disposing of all food waste and recycling. Assisting with the preparation of ingredients as needed. Keeping the kitchen and dish-washing areas clean and organized.

Chef De Parti: Butcher Chef & Tournant / Roundsman / Relief Cook

  • Prepping each days meats for cooking and grilling, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, then assisting during either the lunch or dinnertime rush, filling in at whichever station needs assistance. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Chef De Parti: Station Chef / Prep Cook / Pantry Cook

  • Preparing ingredients for cooking such as chopping vegetables, cleaning and portioning meat, and preparing sauces and dressings. Cooking and plating menu items to order, following the head chef’s instructions and recipes. Maintaining a clean and organized station, ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. Assisting other kitchen staff as needed.
