Do I have to wear a life jacket?

All guests must wear a life jacket, except for those who have passed the Carrigan Farms swim test. More information about the swim test can be found here on our website. Life jackets are available in sizes from child through XXL and are provided for free.

Are there lifeguards?

Yes, lifeguards are on duty during open swim hours. However, please note that all swimming is at your own risk and lifeguards cannot guarantee your safety.

Do I need to fill out a waiver?

Yes, all guests must complete a waiver prior to entering the quarry, regardless of whether or not you plan to swim. A waiver link will be sent to you after you make your reservation. If minors are in your group, a parent or guardian must complete their waiver.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Yes, advanced reservations are strongly recommended. Guests without a reservation are not guaranteed admission. A non-refundable deposit of $5 per person is required to reserve, then the admission balance is due in cash on arrival. Please note that all guests, including those who are not swimming, must have a reservation and pay admission.

What if I am not swimming? Do I need a reservation, to pay admission, and to complete a waiver?

Yes, a reservation, admission, and waiver are required for all guests, even if you are not swimming or are just there to watch your children.

What items should I pack to have a good time there?

Pack a swimsuit, towel, t-shirt, shorts, shoes, water shoes, sunscreen, and cash. You may also bring a chair, pool noodles, or small floats.

Do you take credit or debit cards?

No, only cash is accepted for payment at the farm and restaurant.

Do you have an ATM?

No, we do not have an ATM.

Can you recommend a hotel nearby?

Can I bring cake or cupcakes for a birthday?

No, we do not allow outside food or beverages to be brought in. The restaurant at the quarry serves delicious farm-to-table cuisine.

Do you serve food?

Yes, the restaurant at the quarry serves farm-fresh favorites, charcoal grilled hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, scratch-made pizza, veggie burgers, fresh salads, fruit cups, ice cream, snow cones, and beer and wine. No outside food or beverages are allowed at open swim, and the restaurant is cash only.

What if it rains?

There are no rain checks. If the weather is expected to impact the event, Carrigan Farms will contact reservation holders with updates. If you don’t hear from them, they plan to be open.

Is there a dress code?

Guests should dress appropriately for a family-focused establishment. Please dress comfortably and appropriately for the summer heat and swimming, but avoid clothing with profane language statements or swimwear that may be too revealing for a family environment. We do not permit thong bathing suits.

Do I have to be able to do a pull up to use the rope swing?

Yes, you must demonstrate one pull-up to use the rope swing. The pull-up requirement is non-negotiable for safety reasons. You must also be at least 54 inches tall to use the rope swing.

Can I fish at Open Swim?

Yes, catch-and-release fishing is available for open swim customers in the farm’s two ponds. Guests must bring their own fishing gear and cannot fish in The Quarry or at non-open swim times.

Can I bring in food or beverages from home?

No, outside food or beverages are not allowed at open swim..

Can I bring my boombox/portable speaker?

No outside music is allowed at open swim. Background music is provided for everyone’s enjoyment.

Can I film with a drone?

No, drone filming is not allowed.

Can I bring my dog?

No, pets are not allowed at the farm.

Can I bring a float?

You may bring a small float sized for one person. Please do not bring floats designed for more than one individual.

Can I smoke cigarettes, cigars or a pipe while I am there?

No, smoking is not allowed at the farm.
